Share your thoughts with the group – be honest, the more we know, the better we can support each
other. You will all need to write notes for this meeting and keep your own copy.
2. Decide who you will work with – make sure that you choose people who will complement your skill set

to change later on as you review your progress and development. Why have you chosen these songs

4. Put together a rehearsal schedule for the first song. You have got 3 weeks to prepare it for
performance to the class.
a. What will a rehearsal involve? List the stages. First of all we are going to work out the order were gonna come in such as who will be starting
Y10 MP: Performers – Pre-Production Meeting & Rehearsal Process NAME: Owen Ashie
b. How will you evidence your progress? On a weekly bases I will log down things I did and new things I learnt with my rehearsal diary blog.
c. Make a plan for 3 rehearsal sessions. What do you want to achieve in each? When do you need
peer/tutor feedback?
Rehearsal 1: in order to start the songs I need to make sure little things such as my timing and volume control is good which I have been working on these last few months.
Rehearsal 2: I would like to be able to play along to the song without a structure, so sort of like freestyling
Rehearsal 3: I plan on before coming to the lesson practice playing to the song all week so then I can have instructions based on how I'm going to be playing I our final performance.
d. What do you need to do individually or as a group? What do you need to be able to do on your
instrument (specific techniques for the style of music)? In this performance as I drummer I'm trying to stand out and I'm going to do this by making dynamic pauses in my structure. also I'm looking to add multiply fills to present the complex.
e. What resources/equipment/support do you require? we need a rehearsal room, microphone, drum kit, bass guitar, piano this is all the equipment we need to support us so that we can proceed to make great music.
f. Are there any potential issues that may occur during the rehearsal process? How could you resolve
these? well quite frequently if using an electric drum kit there always be an element which doesn't work, so to resolve this problem I'm going to improvise for the time being. also in our group we used a lot of electrical equipment so maybe one day the speaker will not work so we would just have to simply replaced this by with one that is able to work. Lastly we often find that the bass guitar is untoned so before a performance Jake will check and if not if gain assistance from Sir to help tune
